Allianz Parque pitch awarded FIFA Quality Pro, Palmeiras to debut against Mirassol | OneFootball

Palmeiras’ Allianz Parque pitch has been awarded FIFA Quality Pro, the highest certification for synthetic surfaces. The new field will make its official debut on 15 March when Palmeiras host Mirassol in the sixth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro.

According to Nosso Palestra, the approval confirms the stadium now meets top international standards for quality and performance.

The previous surface was replaced after natural wear from heavy use in matches and events. The new system features structural upgrades and an adjusted colour to more closely resemble natural grass, improving playing conditions.

Forward Flaco López has already tested the surface and welcomed the changes, saying it looks very close to natural grass and will be positive for their games.

Beyond performance, the modernisation is intended to enhance safety and deliver a more consistent playing surface, which is considered essential in professional football.
