Castellón have triggered his release clause, with reports close to Mérida putting it at €150,000.

The 26-year-old leaves as Primera RFEF’s top scorer this season with 13, split as 12 in the league and one in the Copa del Rey.
Last season, with SD Logroñés, he hit 17 goals and achieved promotion to Primera RFEF.
García came through Racing’s academy and featured for Tropezón and Colindres at youth level, then UE Costa Brava, Laredo, Arenas de Getxo, SD Logroñés and Mérida. He will make his second-tier debut with Castellón.
Mérida lamented the lengthy period of speculation around his future and thanked Castellón for being the only club to submit a formal written offer during that time.
