Aston Villa are preparing to host Tottenham Hotspur in the fourth round of the FA Cup this weekend. The former side faced a 2-0 defeat at the hands of the Wolves in their previous game. They might be low in confidence but have all the tools to do well on Sunday.

Interestingly, the Villans’ opponents aren’t having a good run either and they are vulnerable with multiple injuries in the squad. This places Unai Emery’s men at an advantage stage and the support of the home crowd will be another key difference.

Defence

Emi Martinez didn’t have a good game against Wolves and Robin Olsen is likely to replace him between the sticks for this fixture. Andres Garcia should be retained for the right-back role in the lineup.

The centre-back duo of Boubacar Kamara and Ezri Konsa are likely to be deployed at the heart of the defence once again. No change at the left full-back position as Lucas Digne continues to play there.

Midfield

While Youri Tielemans continues in the middle of the park, Lamare Bogarde should be making way for Amadou Onana in the midfield unit.

Morgan Rogers is operating on the right flank with Jacob Ramsey taking care of the other side of the pitch. John McGinn is working as a bridge between the defensive and attacking line.

New arrival Marcus Rashford could be getting his first start at his new club. However, if Unai Emery feels that the attacker needs more time to settle down, Donyell Malen could get a chance to start as the striker.

Ollie Watkins (groin), Pau Torres (ankle), Matty Cash (unspecified), Tyrone Mings (knee) and Ross Barkley (calf) are all unavailable for selection.
