Ana Vitória made her Corinthians return after a month out, starting in Monday's 2-1 win over São Paulo.
According to Meu Timao, the midfielder had been sidelined since April after a head knock sustained while training with Brazil. She had been called up for the FIFA Series, which featured Brazil, Canada, Zambia and South Korea.
She collided with a team-mate during a session and was ruled out under concussion protocol. Brazil still won the tournament with fellow Corinthians players Lelê, Gi Fernandes, Thais Ferreira and Duda Sampaio.
Back at the club, she continued recovery under medical staff and missed wins over Juventude, Ferroviária and Grêmio in the Brasileiro Feminino, plus last Friday’s defeat to São Paulo in the Campeonato Paulista.
She also sat out the Teal Rising Cup in the United States, where Corinthians finished third after losing to Kansas City Current, then recording a heavy win over América of Mexico.
Ana Vitória is now back in contention in midfield, competing mainly with Dayana Rodríguez and Paola Garcia. Coach Emily Lima remains without defenders Agustina and Thaís Ferreira, and midfielder Juliana Passari. The Brabas visit Red Bull Bragantino on Thursday for Paulistão round two at Estádio Benito Agnelo Castellano, kick-off 17:30.
