Carlo Ancelotti has once again made it clear—his heart remains with Real Madrid. Amid ongoing speculation about his future, the Italian tactician has firmly stated his desire to continue at the club for as long as possible.
Speaking ahead of their upcoming away clash against Getafe, Ancelotti addressed a number of important topics, ranging from the team’s injury concerns and squad depth to the La Liga title race and the Copa del Rey final.
Reflecting on the current campaign, Ancelotti acknowledged the obvious difficulties the team has faced. The absence of key players has forced the manager to make significant adjustments.
“This season’s problems are clear,” he said.
“We lost two key players at the back, and that hurt us. We have had to adapt to different player profiles, and that has made it hard to find the right balance.
“Hopefully, we’re getting there now. If not, we will find it hard to win anything.”

Ancelotti also provided updates on two of his most important players—Kylian Mbappe and Ferland Mendy. While both are currently unavailable for the Getafe game, the coach is optimistic they will return in time for Saturday’s crucial fixture.
“They are not ready just yet, but they will train over the next few days. I believe both should be fit by Saturday,” he said.
When asked about the whistles and criticism aimed at Mbappe, Ancelotti defended the forward. “He is upset because he wants to help the team. He is doing everything he can to recover and be there on Saturday.”

Regarding his own position at the club, Ancelotti showed no sign of frustration. On the contrary, he reaffirmed his passion for Real Madrid and the job he holds.
“I don’t hold any grudges. I love this club, and I want to stay here as long as possible. Whenever the time comes to move on, I will leave with gratitude and respect,” he said.
He also acknowledged that this season has presented more complex problems than the previous one, but made it clear that the club and coaching staff are managing things together.
“Yes, it has been a more difficult year. But the club knows this. We are handling it as a team. I’m still very happy here, and even under pressure, I feel energised. Stress motivates me to keep pushing forward.”

Ancelotti also had words of praise for young Brazilian forward Endrick, who is gaining prominence within the squad.
“He is progressing really well. He will have a bigger role going forward, especially in matches where we need his strength and technical ability.”
Speaking about Fran Garcia, the manager noted visible improvement.
“He is getting more game time and has generally done well. When Vinicius plays wide, it sometimes limits Fran’s space to show his attacking strengths, but he’s growing.”

When talk turned to silverware, Ancelotti didn’t shy away from the reality of their situation.
“To win the Copa del Rey and La Liga, we need to beat Barcelona. That is where our focus lies. We are confident, but we know we need to change a few things to make that happen—and we will.”
Looking ahead to their showdown with Barcelona, Ancelotti dismissed the idea of Madrid being underdogs.
“They might seem stronger at the moment, but finals are unpredictable. Labeling Madrid as the victim feels like an exaggeration to me,” he concluded.
