André Carrillo denies Internacional offer, says he’s happy at Corinthians

The midfielder André Carrillo, who recently completed his physical transition period after a ligament injury in his left ankle and hasn't played since August 6, gave an exclusive interview to the portal ge.globo and denied having been contacted by Internacional, currently managed by Ramón Díaz.

The Argentine had a remarkable stint at Parque São Jorge between July 2024 and April 2025, being one of the people responsible for signing the Peruvian during last year's mid-year transfer window. His contract with Corinthians ends in December 2026: “I have a contract, honestly, I am very happy here. I haven't received any offers, the coaches Ramon and Emiliano haven't said anything to me. I talk to them almost every day. We have a very good relationship. There hasn't been any contact about this. I am extremely happy here“, he began.

Next, the athlete commented on his current physical condition after spending just over two months in the medical department. There was a possibility that Carrillo would return to the field only in 2026, which did not happen due to his rapid recovery from the injury mentioned at the beginning of this article.

“I am doing well. The medical department did a good job. I also did my part to recover faster, because I knew I needed to play and the club needed me. Everything went well, and we are ready to play again. I am already available. Of course, I am not 100%, but I am quite well“, he said.

The return of André Carrillo will be crucial for Corinthians, which is in the decisive stretch of the season and needs points to climb the Brasileirão table and completely eliminate the chances of relegation. Currently, the Alvinegro occupies the 11th position in the national competition with 36 points. In the Copa do Brasil, the semifinal opponent will be Cruzeiro.

Since being signed by Corinthians after a stint in the Arab world, the midfielder has proven to be fundamental in the team's surge in the 2024 Brasileirão and in winning the 2025 Campeonato Paulista.

In total, the 34-year-old player has 60 matches with the Corinthians jersey (40 as a starter), with 34 wins, 14 draws, and 12 losses. Additionally, he has scored three goals and provided five assists.
