André Luiz says he wants to remain at Corinthians until the end of the season despite firm interest from Europe.
"My focus is completely here at Corinthians. I want to be here until the end of the year," he told TNT Sports.
"There are plenty of competitions this year. The Libertadores is one I have never played, and in my first year reaching the final and being champions would be amazing for me."
"There is the Brasileiro too, which we have started well. We are on an upward curve in the league, and we are chasing a second Copa do Brasil."
His remarks come amid strong interest from Milan, who were said to be close to signing him. There was said to be a €17 million agreement, roughly R$ 102 million. Corinthians turned it down after supporter reaction and head coach Dorival Júnior’s stance, and because the fee fell short of president Osmar Stabile’s expectations.
Corinthians hold 70% of the midfielder’s economic rights, having ceded 30% during a 2024 renewal.
André made his senior debut in September 2025, a 1-0 win over Fluminense under Dorival Júnior. Since then he has played 24 matches, starting 10, and scored four goals. In 2026 he has been given more chances and is emerging as a leading performer.
