Benfica are said to be closing in on Rio Ave winger André Luiz, with talks described as well advanced. Record reports that negotiations have moved forward again after an impasse. Specific terms have not been disclosed.

For Rio Ave this season, André Luiz has made 18 appearances, 17 in Liga Portugal Betclic and one in the Taça de Portugal. Across 1,390 minutes he has scored seven goals and provided five assists.
