André Silva is back in contention and is aiming to return against Valencia at Mestalla on Saturday. The Elche striker has overcome his latest muscle issue.
According to AS, he trained with the group on Wednesday and is confident of completing the week as normal, hoping to make the squad. The Portuguese forward has four goals.
He has missed the last three matches through injury, against Eibar, Rayo and Villarreal. His most recent outing came in Mallorca, where he played only three minutes.
He suffered a relapse at Son Moix, which led to about a month out, and he also could not play the first game of the year against Villarreal. Before Mallorca, he missed the meeting with Girona.
He has not started since 28 November, when he lined up against Getafe.
Away from André Silva, Sarabia was without Rafa Mir in Wednesday’s session, the major absentee, though the coach hopes the striker will be in perfect condition to face his recent past. Rafa Mir, like Germán Valera, did not enjoy a standout spell at Mestalla.
