Andreas begins life at Palmeiras, takes part in first training session

Palmeiras returned to training on the morning of Thursday (4th) at the Football Academy, with the presence of Andreas Pereira, announced as a reinforcement for Verdão last week.

Recently signed from Fulham, England, Andreas participated for the first time in a group activity alongside his teammates. The midfielder arrives as one of the main signings to strengthen the creative sector and is already starting to gain rapport under the watchful eye of Abel Ferreira's coaching staff.

Without Abel, who did not return with the group, the Portuguese staff conducted a technical training session on a reduced field. The group performed positional passing exercises, movement, and ball circulation, as well as specific adjustments for defense and attack.

The player landed in São Paulo on Monday night (1st) and reported to the Football Academy on Tuesday morning (2nd). After getting to know the club's structure and processes better, he underwent functional evaluations with the Health and Performance Center and sent a message to the fans.

The 29-year-old player was at Fulham-ENG and signed a contract with Verdão until 2028. Born in Belgium and the son of a Brazilian father who at the time played in the European country, Andreas was trained in the youth categories of PSV Eindhoven-NED and Manchester United-ENG. He also played for Granada-ESP, Valencia-ESP, Lazio-ITA, and Flamengo before arriving at Palmeiras.
