Andrews on Manchester United and Mbeumo return | OneFootball

Brentford head coach Keith Andrews has discussed this weekend's opponents, Manchester United, and the return of Bryan Mbeumo to Gtech Community Stadium ahead of the Premier League meeting with the Red Devils on Saturday lunchtime.

It will be Mbeumo's first game against the west Londoners since joining Ruben Amorim's side over the summer, but Andrews insisted that he wants to give the forward and his team-mates an afternoon they don't enjoy at the Gtech.

"They've got a very talented set of players," said the Bees boss. "They have a very defined way of playing the game that they know very, very well.

"They've added some quality players; one who left this building to join them, who we're very well aware of!

"They will cause us a lot of problems if we don't do things correctly.

"I watched [the 4-3 win in May] back this week, as well as their other games this season, because the personnel makes a big difference, especially at the top end of the pitch.

"They've added Bryan, [Matheus] Cunha and [Benjamin] Šeško this summer, and we've looked at how they might be different compared to how they were when we played them at the end last season.

"The system might be the same, but the personnel is different."

On the return of Mbeumo, Andrews added: "I think Bryan should get a really good reception from the fans.

"He epitomises everything good about this football club: he had six years at this club, arriving as a 19-year-old, he spoke very little English, and he developed as a man and as a person, with time, patience and support.

"Last season was the culmination of a six-year journey, which so many people at the club played a part in. I know he appreciates that and the fans.

"However, I don't want us to give him a good reception on the pitch! We know all about him, his qualities, and what a good player he is, so hopefully we nullify those and make it an afternoon he doesn't enjoy."
