Angel Gomes' future to be clarified amid possible Wolves exit | OneFootball

Angel Gomes could leave Wolves this summer. He joined on loan from Marseille in the winter transfer window and the club hold an option to buy worth six million pounds.

“I haven’t spoken to Marseille and everything that goes on behind the scenes has been left with my agent and the clubs really.” He told The Athletic.

“But coming back to England has never been the be-all and end-all for me in my career or in my life. If there are opportunities to play for a team in England then it’s not something that I would turn down, but I’m open to playing anywhere.”

It has long been expected he would not remain in the Championship and Rob Edwards acknowledged the midfielder wants to play higher. “Angel is someone who's really keen to play at the highest level, as high a level as possible, so we'll see what happens.”

“There's obviously one more game to go, which he's in the mix for and then we'll see what happens after the last game.” Wolves finish their season against Burnley.
