After a rather difficult season, Angeliño’s future appears far from Roma.
The Giallorossi number 3 could be among the players to be sacrificed to rebuild the Giallorossi squad, which requires several changes if it wants to finally compete for the top spots and achieve major goals.
Roma must reach a major target by June 30, 2026: €80 million in capital gains to meet UEFA’s targets.
For this reason, sporting director Frederic Massara is already working on finalizing several transfers.
According to Il Messaggero, one of the players on the list of departures is Angeliño.
The Spanish winger, who spent much of the season sidelined due to a health issue, has asked the club to be sold.
Among the clubs reportedly interested in him is Real Betis, who are ready to make an offer for the former Manchester City player.
In the 2025-2026 season, the former Leipzig player saw very little action: 7 appearances in Serie A, 2 in the Europa League.
In the previous season, however, he was one of the key players in Roma’s sensational comeback to fifth place, with 4 goals and 3 assists in the league and Europa League.
