Sevilla’s recruitment drive under Antonio Cordón has turned towards Liga MX, with Club América defender Israel Reyes among the names under consideration.

According to La Colina De Nervion, the 25-year-old centre-back is being monitored by the Andalusian club, while Villarreal, Benfica, Porto and Lyon are also tracking him. Predominantly a right-sided centre-half, he can also operate at right-back or as a holding midfielder.

Reyes is noted for clean challenges, aerial strength and composed distribution. His market valuation is around five million euros. Developed at Atlas and established at Puebla, he joined América in 2023 and features regularly for Mexico.

Sevilla are also following Ozziel Herrera, Tigres UANL’s right winger, whose direct and vertical play could refresh their wide threat. The 24-year-old has eight goals and four assists this season, and his valuation of six million euros could be achievable under certain conditions.

The radar further extends to Cruz Azul captain Erik Lira, a combative pivot with natural leadership and tidy use of the ball. He has also attracted interest from Benfica, Valencia and Feyenoord.
