António Silva has shared glimpses of his holiday as he awaits Benfica’s return to training on 23 June.

According to Glorioso 1904, the Portugal international posted an image from a paintball session alongside Samuel Soares, Henrique Araújo, Diogo Prioste, João Rego, Gonçalo Oliveira, Diogo Ferreira, Manu Silva and Tomás Araújo.

Despite the break, Silva remains seen as central to Benfica’s plans. He is already preparing for the restart and aims to report in peak condition under Marco Silva.

Off the pitch, his contract remains a focus for the hierarchy led by Rui Costa. Benfica have presented a renewal proposal, with his current deal running until 2027.

A decision is expected after the holidays, as the club seek to secure one of their most valuable academy products. In the meantime, Marco Silva is shaping plans for 2026/27, with the pre-season fixtures calendar among the immediate priorities.
