Antony has revealed there is no bad blood with Manchester United head coach Ruben Amorim over how his Old Trafford career has ultimately panned out.
Antony left United on loan for Real Betis for the rest of the season during the January transfer window and has generally impressed, registering eight goals and assists in 16 appearances.
In two months under Amorim in Manchester, the Brazilian had only started two games. But the impression Antony has been left with is a positive one.
“I've only had a short time working with [Amorim], but he's a very good coach. A very intelligent coach," the winger told ESPN in Brazil.
"United are going through a difficult time at the moment, but he's a good coach. I had a good relationship with him, but I needed a new challenge and I wish him all the luck in the world in this final stretch of the season."
It has been reported in recent weeks that United are eyeing a permanent sale come summer, potentially hoping to bring in £40m – just under half of what he cost to sign from Ajax in 2022.

Antony had actually started exceptionally well when he first arrived in England almost three years ago, scoring in each of his first three Premier League appearances and getting the goal that knocked Barcelona out of the Europa League later that season.
But, looking back, he blames troubles in his personal life for failing to live up to the transfer hype. In the early weeks of last season, allegations of domestic assault from three different women emerged, which resulted in him being dropped from Brazil's squad and spending several weeks on special leave.
"I think that, apart from my football life, my personal life got in the way a lot, because of the things I went through, the moments I lived [in Manchester]. Like it or not, it's affected me a lot. So, of course, I know the potential I have," he said.
"It's not for nothing that I went to a World Cup, it's not for nothing that I was sold to United for a lot of money, and I know my worth. People look at the moment, but they don't look at the bigger picture, what happens to bring things about. So, as I said, my feeling at United was that I had good moments, bad moments too, but of course I could have done more, I could have done better."
