Departing Liverpool head coach Arne Slot is AC Milan’s leading candidate to succeed Massimiliano Allegri, according to Sacha Tavolieri. The Dutch manager is a free agent after being relieved of his duties on Merseyside this Saturday. Slot led the Reds to their 20th league table last year, but his sophomore campaign in the Premier League has been underwhelming with Liverpool finishing fifth.
Tavolieri understands that talks are currently underway for Slot to take over in Milan. The 7-time Champions League winners have parted ways with Allegri and several club executives after the Rossoneri failed to secure Champions League football for the second season in a row.

Should he land the Milan job, Slot would coach several Frenchmen, such as Mike Maignan, Adrien Rabiot, Youssouf Fofana and Christopher Nkunku.
