Following Liverpool’s 3-3 draw at Leeds United, Mohamed Salah took to the media to launch an attack on head coach Arne Slot.
The Egyptian King had been benched for three consecutive games against West Ham, Sunderland and Leeds United and was an unuseb substitute in two of those games.
Speaking after the game, he claimed that his relationship with Arne Slot was ‘broken’ and that the club had ‘thrown him under the bus’.
Tonight, it was Slot’s turn to face the media and dozens of questions about his star player.
Speaking to the media, Slot said: “Before Saturday, the two of us had spoke a lot.”
“It’s not the way that I feel, but he has the right to feel like that. He was very respectful to the staff, his teammates and he trained really hard.”
“It was a surprise to hear those comments.”

On whether Salah has played his last game for the club: “I have no clue. I cannot answer that question at this moment of time.”
“I don’t feel like I’ve been undermined but it’s not about me. Whether my life is difficult or not, that’s not important right now.”
“Usually I’m calm and polite, but that doesn’t mean that I’m weak.”
“It’s up to me and the club to react and that is why he is not here [in Milan].”
“He has the right to feel how he feels, but he doesn’t have the right to share it with the media.”
