By what margin did Arrascaeta beat Carlos Alberto?
Thus, the humiliation was even greater. That’s because 77 experts voted for the idol of the Red and Black, while only 21 believe the veteran actually played better. Two people, however, chose not to give their opinion in the poll.
And how did the controversy between Carlos Alberto and Arrascaeta start?
The feud, in fact, is almost one-sided. That’s because Carlos Alberto’s chatty personality doesn’t allow the former athlete to stay quiet. Therefore, the former player always considered himself the best. Until, in 2022, the ex-midfielder was invited to Zico’s charity match, where he suffered a humiliating nutmeg from the Uruguayan star.
On that occasion, however, Carlos Alberto almost broke the Flamengo player’s leg to prevent the dribble from being completed. As a result, spectators, journalists, and football profiles commented on the play, which led to questions for the commentator.
Carlos Alberto, in fact, received so much teasing because of the nutmeg that he couldn’t take it. The veteran ended up assaulting a fan because of the mockery, was fired from the network where he worked, and, to make matters worse, saw Arrascaeta stack up titles without ever paying attention to the feud.
