Arrascaeta hails Flamengo’s stature and calls the pressure good | OneFootball

Flamengo’s No 10 Arrascaeta says the pressure at the club is a positive as he continues to shine in 2026. He is well used to the demands.

“Everyone would like to play for Flamengo. But it is certainly very difficult to play and to succeed at Flamengo. Flamengo are a big club and they have great people. I am happy to be part of this institution, this history.” He told Transfermarkt.

“We represent a huge fanbase. The responsibility of playing for Flamengo is greater than at other clubs, but it is a good pressure. I have been here many years and I know how to handle it.”

After a historic 2025, he has kept his level in 2026, with 19 appearances, seven goals and two assists.

Flamengo signed him from Cruzeiro in 2019 for 15 million euros, R$63.7 million at the time.

Since then he has played 373 times, scoring 105 goals and providing 116 assists.

Alongside Bruno Henrique, he holds the most titles in the club’s history, lifting 18 trophies including three Libertadores, three Brasileiros and two Copas do Brasil.

With Arrascaeta available, Flamengo face Estudiantes of Argentina at 21:30 Brasília time on Wednesday 29 at Estadio Jorge Luis Hirschi, in the third round of the continental tournament.
