The new Arsenal nutritionist was with Man City for two years, working for their academy, first as an assistant nutritionist before getting promoted to the role of academy performance nutritionist.

Ibarra was with Ice Hockey UK as a performance nutrition advisor before that and was an intern as a performance nutritionist for Everton’s Women’s first-team.

The Arsenal employee has also worked as a coach for Nike and brings plenty of experience to the table.

Ibarra left Man City last month, announcing her switch to Arsenal on LinkedIn this week.

The Gunners are challenging across four competitions this season and their new nutritionist will hope to play a major role in helping to boost their chances of landing the quadruple.

The North London club have had fitness issues all season and will hope their latest addition can help provide a solution to the players.

There is a correlation between the nutrition of footballers and their fitness and general well-being.

Ibarra will hope to offer them the needed formula and recipe as Arsenal look to keep challenging for major silverware going forward.

The Gunners are currently top of the Premier League table and will be champions if they win seven of their remaining eight league fixtures of the season.

They face Man City in the final of the Carabao Cup later this month and are still going strong in the Champions League and FA Cup.
