Arsenal and Chelsea are interested in signing the Ajax attacker Mika Godts.

The Belgian is in spectacular form this season, with 16 goals and 13 assists across all competitions. He has impressed with his performances for the Dutch outfit, and clubs like Arsenal and Chelsea are set to scout him.

Ajax will be up against PSV on 2 May, and journalist Lentin Goodijk has claimed that Arsenal and Chelsea will send scouts to watch him in action.

Meanwhile, Manchester United are tracking him as well. It remains to be seen whether the Premier League clubs decide to make a move for him in the summer.

“Against PSV, Arsenal, Chelsea and FC Barcelona will have their scouts in the stands,” he said (h/t Voetbal Primeur). “Manchester United, Manchester City, Bayern Munich and all the other big clubs in Europe have him on their list,” Goodijk added.

Arsenal have invested in players like Noni Madueke, but the former Chelsea player has been hugely underwhelming. Arsenal needs more quality in the wide areas. They need someone who can take on defenders and beat them in a one-on-one situation. They need more unpredictability in the final third. The Belgian could be the ideal long-term acquisition.

Similarly, Chelsea will need an upgrade on Alejandro, Garnacho and Jamie Gittens. Neither player has been able to live up to the expectations, and Chelsea needs to improve the team if they want to compete with elite clubs. They are in danger of missing out on Champions League qualification after a disappointing season.

As far as Manchester United are concerned, they have already invested in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo. Both players have been excellent for Manchester United so far. It will be interesting to see how they accommodate the youngster if they sign him.

He needs to play regularly at this stage of his career. Sitting on the bench at a big club will not benefit him.
