In a recent report, De Telegraaf revealed that Arsenal are facing stiff competition for Club Tijuana playmaker Gilberto Mora. It has been claimed that the Gunners would have to rival Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester City in the race to land the Mexico international later this year.
Mora has come through the youth ranks of Club Tijuana and has done well to establish himself as an important member of their senior team. The Mexican talent has already made 53 senior appearances for his current employers so far, scoring ten times and earning two assists in all competitions.
The 17-year-old is currently one of the best young playmakers in Mexican football. Therefore, the Gunners would do well to snap him up later this year.
His current contract at Club Tijuana will run out in the summer of 2029, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal in this transfer period.

Mora can create some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has got the eye to play some decisive passes in the final third and is a decent dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The Mexican whizkid is primarily an attacking midfielder but can also fill in as a left-winger or as a striker down the middle if required. Mora can even contribute by scoring and creating a few important goals for his team. However, he is still quite raw and would need time to prove his worth in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to move in for him later this year.
We can expect Mora to bring more firepower to Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta’s attack in the long run. He is already good enough to fight for a regular starting spot at the Emirates Stadium next season.
At 17, Mora has got the ceiling to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each year. He is undoubtedly a prospect to watch out for in the future, so Arteta would be wise to step up his efforts to land Mora before the end of this transfer period.
