Arsenal are back to winning ways after a narrow win over Brighton & Hove Albion at the Emirates Stadium.
Renée Slegers' team went into this game without a victory in their last four outings, including back-to-back defeats to Manchester City and OL Lyonnes.
The Gunners took the lead early on here though when Olivia Smith picked up the ball on the right and looked to cross the ball low but that attempt was diverted into the net by Marisa Olislagers with Chiamaka Nnadozie left stranded.
Brighton responded well to going behind and had chances before the break to get level with Fran Kirby and Kiko Seike causing problems. However, for the most part the second period was all Arsenal's.
The Seagulls had only one chance of note in the second half when Daphne van Domselaar had to make a superb stop to deny Carla Camacho from heading in.
At the other end Alessia Russo, Beth Mead, and Stina Blackstenius all had attempts in what was a stop-start second period.
Indeed, Brighton will be concerned about Maelys Mpomé who had to be replaced in the 72nd minute when she took an attempted cross to the face. The game had to be stopped for ten minutes as the defender received treatment which led to lengthy injury time.
Arsenal deserved their win in the end and they will be hoping they can now get back to the form they showed at the end of last season.
