As the season enters its business end, Riccardo Calafiori has described Arsenal’s current position as a “dream,” with the North London side chasing an unprecedented quadruple.
Following a vital 2-0 victory over Everton on Saturday, Arsenal saw their lead at the top of the Premier League stretch to nine points with seven games remaining, putting the Gunners on the verge of league glory.
They have a Carabao Cup final against Manchester City looming on March 22 and remain in contention for both the FA Cup and Champions League.
As a result, the stakes have never been higher at the Emirates heading into the final stretch of the 2025-26 campaign.
Speaking ahead of Arsenal’s UCL round-of-16 second leg against Bayer Leverkusen, Calafiori spoke glowingly about the intensity of the months ahead.
“I think especially now, from March on to the next few months, it’s the best part of the season as well,” the Italian international told Arsenal.com.
“You started so early in the pre-season, and then you work so hard to get to this point, to be in the competition and to be so close to winning. I think it’s a dream to be here.”
After battling through injury setbacks earlier in the campaign, the 23-year-old has been a crucial part of a defensive unit that leads the Premier League in clean sheets for the third season running.
Capable of playing at left-back or centre-back, Calafiori’s versatility provides Arsenal with a range of options as Mikel Arteta’s men chase success on multiple fronts.
