Andrea Berta watched Galatasaray’s derby win against Fenerbahce in Istanbul, stepping up Arsenal’s summer search as he assessed Victor Osimhen and two further options.
The Gunners chief was at Ali Sami Yen Rams Park over the weekend, where the hosts won 3-0 and Osimhen struck the opener. AS reports that Osimhen was the primary focus, and that Berta spoke informally with Galatasaray about his availability and likely costs.
Despite paying €75 million for Viktor Gyokeres from Sporting CP, there is a feeling Mikel Arteta still needs more firepower. Arsenal also remain attentive to Endrick’s uncertain situation at Real Madrid.
Osimhen has shone in Türkiye since joining from Napoli in 2024, and is under contract with the champions until 2029. Bayern are weighing up a move as they plan for life after Harry Kane.
Berta also tracked Baris Alper Yilmaz, 25, whose versatility has boosted his reputation. The Galatasaray and Türkiye international can play on both wings, as a central striker, and provided defensive cover at right-back last season.
Goalkeeper Ugurcan Cakir, a €30.5 million signing from Trabzonspor last summer, was the third player observed. His Champions League shot-stopping has drawn wider interest, with Bayern Munich, Juventus and Inter monitoring him, while Arsenal want elite depth across positions.
