In a recent report, journalist Graeme Bailey mentioned that Arsenal have identified Newcastle United winger Anthony Gordon. It has been stated that the Gunners are keeping a keen eye on the situation of the English wide player at the Tyneside club ahead of a potential move for him this summer.
Gordon has enjoyed a good run of form at the Tyneside club this season as he has produced a string of eye-catching displays for them in the final third. The 25-year-old has found the back of the net on 17 occasions and secured five assists in 45 matches for Newcastle in this campaign so far across multiple competitions.
The English talent is currently one of the most feared wingers in the Premier League. Hence, the Gunners would do well to snap him up later this year.
His current contract at St. James’ Park will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on a cut-price deal this summer.

Gordon has got the pace to cause a lot of headaches for his marker out on the flanks. He has got the vision to create some inviting chances for his teammates in and around the opponent’s penalty area and is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet.
The English sensation can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals from the wide areas. He is primarily a left-sided wide player, but can also operate as a right-winger or as a centre-forward if told to do so.
We can expect Gordon to bring more quality to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He is good enough to challenge for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 25, Gordon has his best years ahead of him, which makes him a decent choice for the Gunners to consider in the upcoming transfer window. He has already proven his worth in the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Emirates Stadium. With all things considered, Arteta would be wise to move in for Gordon at the end of this season.
