Arsenal keen on Manchester United forward Marcus Rashford | OneFootball

Arsenal are monitoring the situation of Manchester United attacker Marcus Rashford ahead of the summer transfer window, according to the Daily Mail.

Manager Mikel Arteta wants another winger, with either Leandro Trossard or Gabriel Martinelli expected to be sold.

Rashford has previously been linked with the Gunners in the past, and they remain big admirers of the England international.

The 28-year-old is currently on loan with Barcelona, but they are reluctant to pay the £26 million to make his season-long loan a permanent move.

Man United still want to sell Rashford, whose salary will increase to £325,000-a-week in July after they qualified for the Champions League. Bayern Munich are also keeping tabs on the situation.

Barca also retain an interest but would prefer another loan deal or to renegotiate a lower fee.

Rashford has been in fine form in Spain, bagging 13 goals and 14 assists in 46 appearances.

He is expected to pick up a La Liga title winners’ medal at the end of the season as Barca are 11 points at the top of the table ahead of their final four league fixtures.

A return to England could appeal to the Man United academy graduate, especially if Arsenal come calling.

Rashford plays predominantly on the left, but he can also feature on the right wing and as a number nine.

Arsenal could do with his versatility, quality and experience as they look to challenge for the quadruple next season.
