L'Équipe reports that Arsenal have made an initial approach for RB Leipzig centre-back Castello Lukeba, holding early talks with his representatives in recent weeks.
A club scout attended the 2-2 draw with Borussia Dortmund on 21 February to watch Lukeba. No formal offer has been lodged with the player or Leipzig.
L'Équipe adds that a fee in the region of €60 to €70 million is being discussed, and the situation could develop in the coming weeks.
Sky Germany says Leipzig must raise €100 million from player sales regardless of Champions League qualification. Interest from other clubs could push any eventual price higher.
Lukeba has made 23 appearances for Leipzig in all competitions this season, scoring once and providing one assist.
The future of fellow centre-back Willi Orbán also remains unclear, amid suggestions he may not be offered a new contract.
