Arsenal and Manchester United could miss out on Eli Junior Kroupi with Bournemouth determined to hold on to him, according to journalist Alex Crook.
Kroupi has caught the attention of Arsenal and Man Utd with his displays in his debut Premier League campaign. He has bagged 12 goals in 31 appearances.
Both the clubs could use a generational talent like Kroupi in their ranks next season.
Arsenal have Viktor Gyokeres leading the line, but Kai Havertz and Gabriel Jesus have not exactly proven to be ideal back-ups to him.
Both are on big salaries, and Arsenal need to find a way to ship them off for a more lethal striker.
United could use a new striker with Joshua Zirkzee poised to leave Old Trafford this summer.
Kroupi would back himself to get serious playing time ahead of Benjamin Sesko.
However, staying with Bournemouth may ultimately be the best outcome for him.
Regular football matters far more than a glamorous move to Arsenal or Man Utd, where expectation, squad depth and relentless scrutiny swallow young players.
He has shown enormous promise, but one or two more seasons leading the line at his current club could polish his decision-making, movement and physicality.
Another year of Premier League starts would likely accelerate the Frenchman’s development far more than sporadic appearances off the bench at Arsenal or United.
The Red Devils and the Gunners should look elsewhere for short-term depth.
Robert Lewandowski is available as a free agent this summer and could be a clever stopgap solution.
The 37-year-old still guarantees goals, leadership, and elite experience.
He would provide Arsenal or Man United with a reliable short-term option while allowing them to pursue a marquee striker later without stunting Kroupi’s growth.
