The Gunners conceded for the first time since September on Wearside

Sunderland striker Brian Brobbey scored in the 94th minute to end Arsenal’s 10-game winning streak.

The Gunners had looked on course to claim all three points at the Stadium of Light after goals from Bukayo Saka and Leandro Trossard cancelled out Dan Ballard’s opener.

Brobbey, however, struck deep into injury time to rescue a point for Sunderland and force Arsenal to settle for a draw.

The Gunners are now seven points clear at the top of the Premier League, but Manchester City could cut that on Sunday when they host Liverpool.

Simon Collings watched Arsenal in action...

David Raya 6

Beaten by Ballard’s brilliant strike. Made a couple of great saves late, but undone by Brobbey’s acrobatics.

Jurrien Timber 7

Finished the game in ‘Terry Butcher’ fashion, with a bandage around his head. Another performance where he was just so solid.

William Saliba 6

Missed a glorious chance right at the end of the first half, when he blazed an effort over the bar.

Usually so dominant, but could not stop Brobbey firing home a late equaliser for Sunderland.

Riccardo Calafiori 6

Restored to the team after being rested in Prague on Tuesday. Got forward and was dangerous on the overlap after the break at times.

Eberechi Eze 6

Quiet in the first half and curled a decent chance over the crossbar. Livelier after the break and involved in Saka’s goal.

Martin Zubimendi 7

One of several players who had a much better second half. Struck the crossbar with a great strike.

Declan Rice 7

Uncharacteristically beaten to the ball for Ballard’s goal. Redeemed himself by winning the ball to help create Saka’s goal.

Bukayo Saka 7 | Star player

Squandered a great opening early in the second half, but made amends moments later by equalising. Arsenal’s best attacker.

Mikel Merino 6

Started up front for the second game on the spin. In the wars a lot, especially early on, but battled well and assisted Saka’s goal.

Leandro Trossard 7

Poor in the opening 45 minutes, however he was a different player after the break. Put Arsenal ahead with a stunning strike.
