According to a recent report from SPORT, it has come to light that Arsenal are preparing a major €70 million offer to try and sign Real Madrid forward Rodrygo Goes, as speculation around the Brazilian’s future continues to grow.
It is no secret that the London club sees the 24-year-old as a perfect fit to strengthen their attack and push the team to new heights under Mikel Arteta.
Rodrygo’s position at Real Madrid has come into question after a difficult end to the 2024/25 season. The winger struggled with stress and muscle problems, injuries that were never formally confirmed by the club’s medical staff.
These issues, paired with growing competition in the squad, have left his role under the incoming manager Xabi Alonso uncertain.
Arsenal’s interest is serious. As reported by the outlet, club insiders believe the Brazil forward has the exact profile needed to break through tight defences and provide the spark Arsenal often miss in crucial moments.

Arteta and the sporting department are in agreement that Rodrygo could take the team to a new level in terms of creativity and finishing ability.
Interestingly, the Gunners are not alone in monitoring the Brazilian. Bayer Leverkusen and other top Bundesliga and Premier League clubs are watching the situation closely.
However, Arsenal are one of the few ready to act now, taking the initiative before Xabi Alonso has made his final decision about Rodrygo’s role.
Xabi Alonso, when asked about Rodrygo, acknowledged his talent but stopped short of making promises. As such, he is set for a crucial conversation with the player that will decide his future.
Whether Rodrygo stays or goes could ultimately depend on that upcoming conversation. While Real Madrid won’t accept anything far below €100 million, they might reconsider if the player expresses a desire to leave and Arsenal’s offer remains on the table.
For now, the final decision lies with Rodrygo. But with big clubs circling and offers being prepared, the coming weeks could define his next big move.
