The Premier League have announced all of their match official appointments for Matchweek 17, including Saturday’s match at the Hill Dickinson Stadium between Everton and Arsenal.
Sam Barrott will referee the encounter, with Tim Wood and Wade Smith assisting him. Oliver Langford will be the fourth official, with Michael Salisbury on VAR and Peter Wright as the assistant VAR.

Arsenal can’t really be too disappointed with the appointment of Barrott for the match. The Gunners have won all six games Barrott has refereed, receiving just five yellow cards, no red cards, and having no penalties awarded to their opponents.
Most recently, Barrott was refereeing as Arsenal defeated Brighton 2-0 in the League Cup fourth round in October.
The most controversial it gets is that Mikel Arteta was handed a yellow card by Barrott following his celebrations for Arsenal’s late winner over Luton Town in 2023, forcing him to miss a match through suspension. But even Arteta admitted that was the right call.

On the other side, Everton have only won one of their five matches with Barrott refereeing, and even that one win arrived despite their opponents Crystal Palace being awarded a penalty for a foul on Eberechi Eze.
Arsenal will hope Saturday’s match keeps up both sets of records with another Gunners victory.
