Arsenal scoop WSL monthly award double | OneFootball

Arsenal pair Alessia Russo and manager Renée Slegers have won WSL monthly awards for March.

The Gunners won all three of their league games last month which have been reflected in this month's awards.

Renée Slegers was named Manager of the Month as she led her side to a 2-0 win away to London City Lionesses, a thumping 5-0 victory at home to West Ham United, and then defeating North London rivals Tottenham Hotspur 5-2 at the end of March.

Russo was a big part of Arsenal's success in those games scoring once against the Hammers before netting a hat-trick at home to Spurs.

The forward is the second Gunners star to win a WSL monthly award this season with Kim Little having been named Player of the Month for January.

Arsenal are back in action on April 26th as they face OL Lyonnes in the Champions League semi-final before hosting Leicester City on April 29th in the league.
