Arsenal edged to victory over Wolves with the help of a 94th-minute own goal by Yerson Mosquera on Saturday, with many supporters experiencing mixed emotions after the match.

On the one hand, it was important to pick up another three points, and late winners are always welcome. On the other, the performance on the whole was very disappointing given the calibre of opposition.

Speaking after the game, Leandro Trossard admitted the team were ultimately relieved to have won, knowing they might not have received such a positive reception in the stands without that late winner.

But the winger insists that’s understandable, as he thinks Arsenal should be winning the game every time they play at the Emirates Stadium.

“At the end the feeling is relief that we scored that winning goal. It is massive to win the game,” Trossard said. “The atmosphere would have been different if the game had ended in a draw.

“At the Emirates we should win every game, with the home support and the way we play.

“Not every game is easy but that is how we should approach it.”

Arsenal have largely lived up to those expectations this season, winning 11 of 12 matches at the Emirates in 2025/26. The one time the Gunners weren’t victorious was against Manchester City, drawing 1-1 after facing a deep block for much of the 90 minutes.

But the next month and a half will provide some stern tests, with Premier League top-half sides Crystal Palace (League Cup), Brighton, Aston Villa, Liverpool, and Manchester United all coming to visit.

If Arsenal can still be close to a 100% record after that, they should be in a great position to win trophies this season.
