Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly has expressed his dissatisfaction to manager Mikel Arteta following his lack of regular action this term, according to the Sun.
The Gunners defender has not played since the 4-0 FA Cup win over Wigan Athletic a month ago. Lewis-Skelly was an unused substitute in yesterday’s 1-1 draw at Bayer Leverkusen
The Hale End academy graduate is behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order for the left-back spot.
Lewis-Skelly can also play in midfield, but is also behind several options in the position.
The 19-year-old could not feature against Mansfield Town in the FA Cup last weekend because of a suspension and is unlikely to start against Everton this weekend.
His lack of regular playing opportunities at Arsenal has affected his chances of earning a spot in the England squad for the World Cup this summer.
Lewis-Skelly is set to miss out again when Three Lions manager Thomas Tuchel names his squad later this month, and he could look to leave the Gunners on loan next season.
He has only started 12 times in 26 games this season and will be hoping the situation changes.
Arsenal have a tough and busy run of games in the coming weeks as they continue to challenge across four competitions.
Lewis-Skelly could get the chance to feature in the big games, and he has to keep impressing in training to convince Arteta.
