Arsenal overturned a 2-1 deficit to defeat Lyon 5-3 on aggregate and book a spot in the Champions League final for the first time since 2007.
The Gunners got the best possible start in France and levelled the score on aggregate after a corner from the left somehow found its way into the net with what turned out to be a Christiane Endler own goal.
After striking early in the game, René Slegers' then took the lead on aggregate just before the break when Alessia Russo laid the ball off for Mariona Caldentey who sent in a curling effort into the top corner.
Then, just after the break, Arsenal scored again. This time it was Russo who latched on to Frida Maanum's pass before finishing and making it 3-0.
A Champions League final was essentially assured in the 63rd minute through Caitlin Foord. The Australian took advantage of a mistake at the back before hammering the ball into the net to make it 4-0 and 5-2 on aggregate.
Lyon did eventually pull one goal back but it was too little, too late. Melchie Dumornay's effort slotted past Daphne van Domselaar in the 81st minute did little to revive Lyon's hopes but at least gave the French side a consolation goal.
Arsenal will now face reigning and defending champions Barcelona at the Estádio José Alvalade in Lisbon on May 24th.
