Fresh from winning the Premier League and finishing as Champions League runners-up, Arsenal have begun shaping next season’s squad. The club have put Spanish goalkeeper Kepa up for sale for a symbolic fee, which could present an option for Flamengo.
Diário AS reports that Arsenal are seeking five million euros, around R$29 million at current rates, to strike a deal for the keeper. The report adds the Spaniard is expected to leave the English club at the end of the season.
Kepa is 31 and under contract with Arsenal until June 2028. He has made only 12 appearances for the club. His career has also included spells with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Bournemouth.
Agustín Rossi has been targeted by Besiktas of Türkiye in recent weeks. The Turkish side are expected to table an offer, and Flamengo could accept depending on the figures, with the Argentine criticised after mistakes that led to goals conceded.
Should Flamengo enter the market for a goalkeeper, Kepa would offer experience. He played alongside Jorginho at Chelsea, and the pair won the Champions League with the London club.
