Marquinhos’s future at Paris Saint-Germain is uncertain, with L’Équipe reporting that there are growing concerns within the club that he could leave despite being under contract until June 2028.

The Brazilian center-back is reportedly intrigued by a potential move to Saudi Arabia, where a big-money offer may be on the table. A departure wouldn’t be all that surprising, especially with PSG continuing to inject its backline with younger players.

PSG have already added Lucas Beraldo and Willian Pacho in recent transfer windows, and if Marquinhos does move on, PSG will likely look to bring in another center-back this summer—if that search hasn’t already begun.

Fichajes previously reported that PSG have already started planning for life after Marquinhos and are targeting one of Spain’s top young center-backs—Valencia’s Cristhian Mosquera.

According to the report, the decision to part ways with Marquinhos isn’t just about his form. At 30, the Brazilian still has solid market value, and moving him on would free up wages and bring in money the club could use to strengthen other areas of the squad.

The latest report from Cadena SER (h/t Fichajes) says Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The English side is reportedly willing to offer around €20 million, a fee Valencia considers fair for one of its top young talents.

Nonetheless, Mosquera has a few suitors ahead of the summer. As a result, Arsenal and PSG face competition for the player as he’s been linked to AC Milan and Atletico Madrid in the past. A bidding war could break out as PSG steps up its search to possibly replace Marquinhos long-term.
