Stoke City's Divin Mubama has caught the attention of some of England's brightest football talents after Saturday's game against Bristol City
Stoke City's Divin Mubama has caught the attention of some of England's brightest football talents after his remarkable display against Bristol City on Saturday.
The Manchester City loanee scored his first senior hat-trick as the Potters demolished the Robins in a 5-1 victory at the bet365 Stadium, whilst also managing to pick up an assist for Million Manhoef.
Taking to Instagram following his three-goal haul, Mubama posted a celebratory message that was soon flooded with comments from some huge names in the Premier League.
Having arrived at Stoke with a significant reputation from his days in the youth setups at both West Ham United and Man City, Mubama is delivering on exactly that - and he has no shortage of backers in his corner either.

Arsenal's Declan Rice responded with the comment "unreal D 👏", offering his recognition of the striker's impressive showing.
Mubama and Rice — albeit different age groups — both came through West Ham's academy system, with Divin being there from the age of eight. They obviously would’ve spent time with each other for the first team, in which Mubama featured sporadically prior to his move to the Cityzens, so it’s a nice touch from Rice congratulating his former teammate.
Manchester United's Kobbie Mainoo kept his reaction brief but emphatic with the simple comment "That Boy". Then one from the blue side of Manchester, his City teammate Rico Lewis put "🙌🏽".
Given that Mubama hadn't scored a league goal for Stoke since August, you could argue that this post was long overdue. Especially since the 21-year-old scored a brace against Andorra for England U21s in October.
Mubama is clearly a likeable person among those he's played with, and as all the aforementioned names are regulars for top six teams, it's surely where he sees himself in the future.
This is backed up by Stoke boss Mark Robins, who believes the sky is the limit for Mubama...

There’s no doubt that Mark Robins' side will be hoping to maintain this level of performance as they push for a promotion challenge - and if Mubama can be a little more consistent now, not many will be able to stop them.
Speaking to the Southern Daily Echo after the Bristol City game, Robins revealed his thoughts on Mubama finally getting himself on the scoresheet again.
"He’s a young player and what happens is you can lose a little bit of confidence which means you might take half a second, which means the ball doesn’t go in the net, you don’t get the shot away," Robins said.
"When you become confident things become more automatic, and that’s what happened as the game went on and will happen in time.
"It’s a fantastic hat-trick. How good he can get is genuinely up to him. He’s a Manchester City player, we’ve been lucky enough to be trusted with him and his development, I think overall it’s a really good place for him to be," he concluded on Mubama.

Pair this with the reactions from Rice, Mainoo and Lewis - Mubama's performances in a Potters shirt will never go unnoticed by those playing - or managing - at the highest level.
In truth, it's great to see the striker showing the second-tier what he's all about, and Stoke fans probably expected performances like Saturday's when he first signed.
