Arthur said his omission against Palmeiras was precautionary after a setback in his recovery, rejecting suggestions he is unhappy at Grêmio.

According to Globo.com, the midfielder missed training during the international break, then returned in the draw with Remo.

He sustained a grade one strain in his left hamstring in early March, with an initial recovery time of up to three weeks. He missed three Brasileirão rounds and came back against Vasco after 14 days of treatment.

Arthur said that comeback arrived earlier than recommended, which preceded a recurrence of the problem and his absence against Palmeiras.

He added it would have been ideal to be rested against Remo as well, but he asked to be available to face the Pará side.

Arthur has repeatedly expressed a desire to remain at Grêmio, while stressing he must fulfil his Juventus contract if negotiations do not progress.
