Aston Villa midfielder Taylor signs new deal | OneFootball

Aston Villa midfielder Miri Taylor has signed a new contract with the club.

The Villans announced the news via a post on their official club website this evening.

The 26-year-old Scotland international initially spent the second half of the 2023/2024 season on loan at Aston Villa from former club Liverpool. She joined The Villans on a free transfer at the end of that season. Taylor has continued to progress at Aston Villa and she has helped the club to compete strongly in the Barclays Women’s Super League.

There is more to come from Taylor and Aston Villa have moved to retain her services for an extended period.

After agreeing fresh terms with Taylor, Aston Villa’s Director of Women’s Football, Marisa Ewers said “Miri has been an important part of the group since arriving at the club.

“She has shown real consistency in her performances and continues to develop both on and off the pitch.

“We are pleased she will continue to be part of what we are building here at Aston Villa.”

Aston Villa will return to competitive action following the latest international window when they play host to Barclays Women’s Super League leaders Manchester City at Villa Park on Sunday afternoon.
