Aston Villa have joined the race for a standout LaLiga defender already on the radar of Arsenal and PSG. With Luis Enrique thriving in Paris—especially when it comes to developing young talent—PSG could be an appealing landing spot for the rising star.
Despite boasting one of Ligue 1’s strongest backlines, PSG are starting to show some cracks after a long, demanding season. Lucas Hernandez is still regaining full fitness after a serious injury, while captain Marquinhos doesn’t quite have the burst he once did in his early 20s.
Presnel Kimpembe remains an influential presence in the dressing room, but questions linger about how much he can contribute in the short to medium term. And while Luis Enrique is high on Lucas Beraldo’s upside, the young defender is still too raw to be more than a depth option at this stage.

Aston Villa are keeping a close eye on Valencia CF center back Cristian Mosquera, according to Radio Marca. The Premier League side—led by Unai Emery and with Monchi overseeing transfers—have been tracking the young defender since last season. Their strong relationship with the Spanish club has given them a chance to follow Mosquera’s development up close.
Mosquera is expected to draw significant interest as the summer window approaches. In addition to PSG and Arsenal, both AC Milan and Juventus have previously shown interest.
While no official offers have been made yet, his release clause is reportedly set at around €18 million, despite his contract running out next summer. That price tag reflects how closely clubs—especially Villa—have been monitoring his rise.

Foot Mercato reported Tuesday that Paris Saint-Germain have set their sights on Valencia center-back Cristhian Mosquera as part of their push to add more youth to their defense this summer.
The 20-year-old Spanish international prospect has been a standout for Valencia—strong, quick, and reliable in one-on-one situations. But with the club looking to improve its financial situation, a summer sale is on the table.
Meanwhile, Cadena SER reports that Arsenal are preparing a summer bid for the Spanish-Colombian defender. The Gunners are said to be ready to offer around €20 million, a figure Valencia considers fair for one of their most promising young players.
