Aston Villa have rejected any notions of parting with star striker Ollie Watkins, following an inquiry from United, according to Telegraph journalist John Percy.
Watkins, 29, has become a central figure in Aston Villa’s rise under manager Unai Emery. After a stellar 2024/25 season that saw him hit over 20 Premier League goals and earn England caps regularly, it’s no surprise he has attracted suitors.
Manchester United, still searching for a consistent striker solution, reportedly made initial contact to gauge Villa’s stance—but were met with a firm “not for sale.”
Villa’s refusal reflects their growing ambitions. After qualifying for the UEFA Champions League for the first time in over four decades, the club is no longer content to serve as a feeder for England’s traditional top six.
