Borussia Dortmund remain intent on keeping Serhou Guirassy, though Aston Villa are assessing a move that could test that resolve.
Bild claims the Europa League winners are monitoring the situation and may make a formal approach, with Champions League football and a sizeable salary on the table. The Premier League’s fourth-placed finishers last season are said to be weighing their options. Reports indicate a release clause of about €35 million in a deal running to 2028, leaving BVB in a strong position in any talks with Villa and Fenerbahce.
Sport Bild reports Dortmund have already outlined their summer plan to the reportedly restless striker, including a push for at least one top creative No 10 to sharpen the team around him.
Sporting chief Lars Ricken has said the club do not intend to sell and that Guirassy has underlined his value across the last two seasons. Fellow executive Ole Book noted that, while a sale is not planned, an exceptional offer would be considered.
Interest from Fenerbahce has been bubbling for weeks, and Guirassy has been linked with a move for some time. Candidate Azizi Yildirim is said to have an agreement with the former VfB Stuttgart forward contingent on winning the presidency, with the vote set for 6-7 June.
