According to Alfredo Pedullà, Atalanta are expected to lodge an opening offer to Bayer Leverkusen for Kerim Alajbegovic, and the 18-year-old and his representatives have approved Bergamo as a destination.

The Bosnia and Herzegovina winger has also been linked with Roma and Milan.

Alajbegovic scored nine goals in 28 appearances for RB Salzburg in 2025-26, after which Bayer Leverkusen immediately activated their buy-back clause.

Born in Germany, he spent eight years in 1. FC Köln’s academy before joining Leverkusen’s youth set-up in 2021.

Leverkusen are expected to listen to offers this summer, with Atalanta’s proposal anticipated to be around €20m plus bonuses.

That figure is not expected to satisfy Leverkusen for now, though the report adds La Dea have made their intentions clear.
