Barcelona romp to huge win away at Red Star

Robert Lewandowski hit a brace as Barcelona recorded an impressive 5-2 win over Red Star.

The home side had the ball in the back of the net after just three minutes, but the attempt was ruled out for offside.

But Barcelona had soon put that moment behind them as a Raphinha free-kick was headed in at the far post by Iñigo Martínez.

Hansi Flick is playing a high line with this Barça side, and on the occasion Red Star managed to beat it they were back on level terms thanks to a fine finish from Silas.

Just before half time, Barcelona were back in front when Robert Lewandowski netted a typical poacher's finish from a Raphinha shot.

Into the second half moments after missing a glorious opportunity, Lewandowski let a quality cross from Jules Koundé hit him, and then hit the back of the net.

And the fourth came just two minutes later, as Raphina hit a sublime finish from outside the box.

The rout was completed when another ball from Koundé was converted by Fermín López with a straightforward finish.

Red Star were not finished though, as Milson hit a superb finish after jinking past the Barça defence in the box.

Bayern Munich break losing trend with Benfica win

Bayern Munich battled to a much needed 1-0 win over Benfica.

After a long period of struggle, Bayern Munich finally broke the deadlock in this game when Harry Kane headed the ball back across goal for Jamal Musiala to head home.

Salzburg record first Champions League win

Scorers: Konaté 45+2', 58' Guindo 86'; Hadj Moussa 81'

Salzburg have won their first Champions League game of the season, overcoming Feyenoord by a 3-1 scoreline.

The Bundesliga side struck on the stroke of half-time when a cross came in from the left and Karim Konaté netted a free header at the far post.

Konaté was again on target after half-time, this time hitting a sweet shot from a corner into the back of the net.

Things went from bad to worse for Feyenoord when Chris-Kévin Nadje was sent off with a second yellow card, but then things were made more interesting when the Dutch side ran down the other end and pulled a goal back.

This dramatic game saw Salzburg miss a penalty, before almost immediately making it 3-1 thanks to a superb strike from Daouda Guindo.

Arsenal slump to defeat away at Inter

Scorers: Çalhanoğlu 45+3' (PEN)

Arsenal suffered their second defeat on the bounce as they lost 1-0 away at Inter.

The Nerazzurri were awarded a penalty just before half time when Mikel Merino was judged to have committed a handball inside the box. Spot-kick expert Hakan Çalhanoğlu made no mistake in putting Inter in front with a cool finish.

Atlético de Madrid hit late winner to stun PSG

Scorers: Zaïre-Emery 14'; Molina 18', Correa 90+3

Atlético de Madrid scored with almost the last kick of the game to deliver a 2-1 win away at PSG.

PSG were pressing Atleti high up the pitch, and a moment's hesitation from Clément Lenglet was punished by Ousmane Dembélé when he stole the ball and fed in Warren Zaïre-Emery, who made no mistake in supplying the finish.

That lead was short-lived though as the tenacious Atlético de Madrid equalised just four minutes later after a slick passing move was punished with a finish from inside the box by Nahuel Molina.

Deep into stoppage time, the game was heading for a draw when Ángel Correa turned the PSG defence inside out and won the game with his finish from an Antoine Griezmann assist.

Brest overcome Sparta Prague

Scorers: Fernandes 37', Kairinen 79' (OG); Olatunji 90+2'

Brest registered a tough 2-1 win away at Sparta Prague.

Ligue 1 side Brest took the lead when Edimilson Fernandes smashed home a finish from a corner.

And that advantage was doubled when the French side forced an own goal after a poor clearance from the Sparta Prague goalkeeper Peter Vindahl Jensen.

Prague hit a consolation thanks to Victor Olatunji, but the night belonged to the Champions League newcomers.

Lookman on target again as Atalanta beat Stuttgart

Another goal from the in-form Ademola Lookman helped Atalanta to a 2-0 win away at Stuttgart.

The second half had barely begun when some tricky work on the wing and a dangerous cross from Charles De Ketelaere was tapped home by Ademola Lookman to put Atalanta in front.

With just two minutes of normal time remaining, the Italian side sealed their victory when Nicolò Zaniolo pounced on a loose ball and strode forward into the box before finishing low beyond the goalkeeper.

Bizarre penalty sees Aston Villa defeated by Brugge

A bizarre incident involving Tyrone Mings saw Aston Villa defeated 1-0 by Club Brugge, their first goal conceded in the competition this season.

Brugge set out to keep Aston Villa at bay in the opening exchanges, with the Premier League side struggling to break through the block.

As the first half progressed, the Belgian side grew into the game and had a few chances to score of their own.

Into the second half and Brugge took the lead when Tyrone Mings conceded a penalty for a handball inside the box, and that was converted by Hans Vanaken.

Villa now drop below Liverpool, Sporting and Monaco in the table with their 100% record now broken.

Shakhtar come back to beat Young Boys

Scorers: Imeri 27'; Zubkov 31', Sudakov 41'

Shakhtar Donetsk came back from a goal down to beat Young Boys 2-1 at the Veltins Arena.

Young Boys took the lead when Shakhtar were attempting to play out from the back but got caught in possession. Some quick thinking from Cheikh Niasse saw the ball won back and fed to Kastriot Imeri, who slotted the ball beyond the goalkeeper.

Shakhtar immediately hit back though, and Oleksandr Zubkov was able to get ahead of his marker in the box and finish from close range.

Just before half-time, the Ukrainian side put themselves into the lead when Heorhiy Sudakov skipped through the Young Boys defence before lashing his shot in from the edge of the 18-yard box.

Young Boys remain without a single point in Champions League action this season.

The next Champions League match days will take place on Tuesday 26th and Wednesday 27th November.
