La Liga giants Atlético Madrid have rebuffed another big-money transfer offer from Chelsea.

That’s according to Mundo Deportivo, citing English sources, who point towards Samu Omorodion as the subject of the proposal in question.

The name of frontman Omorodion has of course taken its place front and centre in the headlines in Spain’s capital for several weeks now.

This comes amid mounting claims that the 20-year-old, fresh off an impressive loan stint with Deportivo Alavés, has made his way onto the radar of a whole host of clubs across the continent.

The aforementioned Chelsea have been most heavily linked, with the Blues having gone as far as to table an opening bid worth €40 million last month.

As much was rebuffed by the Atlético Madrid brass, who paid just €6 million to bring Omorodion in last summer.

As alluded to above, though, Chelsea, evidently, have not yet been deterred.

As per MD, the London club recently returned with a follow-up offer, on this occasion, including bonuses, reaching a hefty €50 million.

Again, though, the board at the Wanda Metropolitano stood firm, pointing their Chelsea counterparts towards the €100 million release clause in their young attacker’s contract.
