Lille could bank heavily this summer as several young assets command high valuations.
The CIES says Lille have the three highest valued under-23 players in Ligue 1 outside Paris-SG, with Ayyoub Bouaddi at €54.7m, Matias Fernandez-Pardo at €49.4m and Hakon Haraldsson at €45m.
Bouaddi, 18, is a Franco-Moroccan midfielder from the club’s academy. Fernandez-Pardo, 21, returned from La Gantoise for €10m in August 2024, and Haraldsson, 22, arrived from Copenhague for €12m in 2023.
LOSC have excelled at player trading since Olivier Létang became president in December 2020. Last summer they banked about €110m, selling Lucas Chevalier to Paris-SG for €55m including bonuses, Bafodé Diakité to Bournemouth for €40m and Edon Zhegrova to Juventus Turin for €19m including bonuses.
Given French football’s strained finances, at least one sale could follow, with Létang aiming to drive prices as with Leny Yoro’s €70m move to Manchester United in July 2024.
Atlético de Madrid made a concrete winter bid for Fernandez-Pardo, rejected after Hamza Igamane’s serious knee injury. With a deal to 2029, he could be among the most courted, alongside Bouaddi.
Bouaddi, extended to 2029 in early December, will command well above the CIES figure. The France Under-21 international, undecided between France and Morocco, could challenge Nicolas Pépé’s €80m club record to Arsenal in 2019.
Haraldsson’s stock is strong, yet his 24 January extension to 2030 suggests he is not a priority exit. Interest also surrounds Ngal'ayel Mukau, 21, to 2028, tracked by West Ham and Crystal Palace, and Nathan Ngoy, 22, to 2029.
