Kylian Mbappé, who scored twice against OM this Tuesday, September 16, in the Champions League, has spoken out about the race for the 2025 Ballon d'Or. The French international is hoping to see his friend Ousmane Dembélé claim the prestigious trophy, which will be awarded on September 22.

After a brilliant start to the season with Real Madrid, Mbappé was asked about his personal ambitions. The France captain emphasized the importance of team trophies above any individual accolades.

"Now, to win the Ballon d'Or you have to win trophies first. So, I just need to help my team win trophies and then we'll see," said the 26-year-old star.

Mbappé then made no secret of his preferences regarding the 2025 Ballon d'Or race. While he himself is nominated for the award, the former Parisian openly showed his support for Ousmane Dembélé, the UEFA Champions League 2024/2025 winner with PSG.

"I'll be happy if Ousmane Dembélé wins the next Ballon d'Or because he's my friend. I'll be in front of my TV hoping he wins," Mbappé said.
